Snake Walk

A few lucky sightings on a sunny day in upstate New York.

A quick flash of a Black Racer and an Eastern Timber Rattlesnake.

Eastern Timber Rattlesnake

We found this juvenile male sunning himself on a large rock. I shot with my 200-600mm so I was able to keep a safe distance. A real thrill to see my first rattlesnake in the wild.

Black Racer

This was the first snake of the day and it moved FAST.

Eastern Worm Snake

Our third and final snake encounter, and another first for me. Shot with 105mm.
